Ready.Set.WRITE! Week 6

How I Did On Last Week's Goal:
After a week of no computer because of a dang virus, last week I was finally able to get some revisions done. About fifty pages!

My Goals For This Week:
Finish the final pages of revisions.

A Favorite Line From My WIP:
I loved the end of winter, when snow melted into piles of black and brown sludge, as the grass grew greener day by day, and the trees lost their ice ridden tips.

The Biggest Challenge I Faced This Week:
Motivation. Once I got into the story I was great, but it was that first step, the one that requires you to open up your document, that got me. This week I'm setting a specific schedule for writing so I'll keep from slacking.

Something I Love About My WIP:
The friendships. I love the relationship my MC Tessa has with her best friend Paige. They're there for each other without having to be there. Know what I mean?

  1. You revised fifty pages? Good job! That's very impressive. Motivation is always a struggle for me, especially during the summer. Hopefully this week we'll both find the motivation we need! :-)

  2. Wow, great job!

...and I love that your story is heavy on the female-friendships :) So few are :)

Good luck with the rest of your revisions!

  4. I love your idea for setting a specific schedule. It's so hard for me to do that in summer, but I like the sound of it! I might have to try it. :)

Also, yay for all the progress! SO glad you have your computer feeling better! Good luck this week with your revision!

  7. That initial motivation is sometimes the toughest thing - I'm struggling with that this week. I need to get my butt in the chair and write already :)

I like the lines you shared and stories about friends are awesome.

  8. Whoa! Fifty pages of revisions in one week is amazing! Sounds like you're on a roll! I loved the line you shared, and it feels especially appropriate this year seeing as winter just didn't want to end. Good luck finishing up those revisions and I hope you don't have any more trouble with computer viruses!

  10. Glad you got your computer back and all that revision done! Great job! And yes, that first step to getting started is always hard. I struggle with it all the time.

Good luck with your goals this week, but I think you've got this down. :)

P.S. Thank you for your kind comment. I've only just read 1 verse book recently, but I've always dabbled in poetry. So it seemed like a good idea at the time to write something in verse? We'll see how it goes, haha.
