What's Up Wednesday

What's Up Wednesday is a weekly meme geared toward readers and writers, allowing us to touch base with blog friends and let them know what's up, put on by Jamie Morrow and Erin Funk. If you'd like to join click on the links above!

What I'm Reading:
Just about to start The Bone Season and I'm pretty excited! I've heard many good things about it. Hoping they all hold up.

What I'm Writing:
After hitting 20k on Keepsake I hit a dry spell. Nothing seems to come to me and I've been so preoccupied with Pitch Wars, it's hard to get my head back in the game. But,on Monday I got 500 words down and it felt good, so I'm hoping the Mojo is back.

What Works For Me:
Working on two (or more) projects at once. It keeps me from getting bored and from feeling guilty if I'm not working on one thing because I have something else going on.

What Else I've Been Up To:
I've been in and out of town and things are finally settling down. Getting back on track with writing is also helping me get back in to the swing of things with 'real life'. And the weather is cooling down so I'm breaking out my awesome Fall wardrobe! I love me some boots and sweaters!

What's Up With You?

  1. I've never worked on more than one project at a time, at least not successfully. But my current WIP is a collaboration, and it can be frustratingly slow, so I'm considering giving it another chance. I wish I knew how you made it work. Have a great day!

  5. I love boots and sweaters too! I love summer more than fall but clothing-wise it's fall all the way!
Good luck with that mojo! I think I need a good shot of it too.

  6. Love boots and sweaters! You can be fashionable, yet comfy- and comfy is my fave. And yay on 500!

  7. I often end up working on multiple projects at the same time for the reason you mention. If you aren't feeling one WiP, you might be in the mood for the other, and some progress on either project is good. I find it helps a lot if I'm revising one and drafting another. I think that keeps you fresh on both stages of the writing process instead of solely revising for some time or solely drafting. Hope the dam is broken and the words start flowing like crazy! :D
